On May 8, 2015 at the JW Marriot Hotel, Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 6pm, eleven awards, includes recognition awards under three broad categories covering: Individual, corporate and public sector awards will be bestowed on Icons in Middle East and Africa who has contributed tremendously to the growth and development of both regions at MEAFRIC Investment Roundtable and Awards.

In the same vein MEAFRIC Investment Roundtable with the theme “Fostering Economic Opportunities” will hold on 7th and 8th May, 2015. The investment roundtable will focus exclusively on economic relation and examining the business opportunities between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, states and Sub-Saharan Africa under the following major areas: Investment Environment, Bilateral trade and trade financing; Agriculture, Mineral and Natural Resources; Energy; Telecommunication and Infrastructure.

The organizers of the maiden MEAFRIC Investment Roundtable and Awards include African Development Studies Centre, MEAFRIC Business Council and BusinessDay, Nigeria. It will be a gathering of who is who in Africa and Middle East and will be hosted under the distinguished chairmanship of His Highness Sheik Saqer Mohammed Bin Saqer Alqassisimi of United Arab Emirates. The MEAFRIC Investment Roundtable and Awards is a yearly event which is meant to celebrate, reward and recognize meaningful contributions and inventions of individuals, corporate and public sector office holders for their contributions and to foster business and economic relationships that exist between Middle East and Africa region.

Africa and the Middle East as one of the world’s biggest economies with total land areas of about 30.2 million km2 and 9 million km2 respectively and home to more countries than any other region, have always provided tremendous opportunities to savvy businessmen, policy makers, ideologues and investors.
