The equity market dropped further Wednesday as the Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index  depreciated by 0.55% to close at 25,267.68 points. The depreciation recorded in the share prices of Unilever, FBN Holdings, Diamond Bank, Oando and Continental Reinsurance were mainly responsible for the loss recorded in the Index.

Similarly, Market Capitalization depreciated by 0.55% to close at N8.74trn, compared with the appreciation of 0.31% recorded yesterday to close at N8.79trn.

The total value of stocks traded on the floors of The NSE was N2.62bn, up by 8.42% from N2.41bn recorded yesterday. The total volume of stocks traded was 771.65mn in 2,703 deals. The three most actively traded stocks were: Custodian and Allied , Continental Insurance and Diamond Bank .
