92 ships to arrive Lagos ports in January

A total of 92 ships are expected to berth at the Lagos ports between January 6 and January 30, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) announced in its ‘Shipping Position’ on Monday in Lagos.

According to the statement, 20 of the ships are loaded with used and new vehicles, while nine ships and 39 ships are laden with petroleum products and containers, respectively.wheat-farm

The NPA said that the other ships would sail in with general cargoes, bulk wheat, rice, bulk salt, bulk sugar, bulk rice, base oil, fresh fish, oil, steel products and boats.

Meanwhile, seven ships laden with petroleum products and one ship carrying containers of different goods are waiting to berth and discharge their goods.

According to the document, 16 ships are currently discharging containers, general cargo, bulk wheat, bulk fertilizer, bulk urea, bulk salt and petroleum products at the ports.
