Mercury Maritime Concession Company (MMCC), promoters of the Escravos Seaport Industrial Complex in Delta State, has congratulated Abubakar Dantsoho on his recent appointment as the managing director of the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA).
Rear Admiral Andrew Okoja (retd), chairman of the company, commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing a professional from within the NPA to head such a sensitive government agency.
He said that the new managing director has gone through the ranks, knows and understands the system very well, pointing out that he doesn’t need time to study the system because he has been part of the system from the beginning.
Okoja believes that appointing an industry man to spearhead the activities of NPA is one of the best decisions that will benefit the entire maritime sector positively.
He expressed confidence in the ability of Dantsoho to reposition the Authority for improved efficiency, increased revenue generation and prioritise the welfare of the staff.
