Theatre @ Terra presents the Naming Ceremony at Terra Kulture, Plot 1376 Tiamiyu Savage, Off Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island Lagos. Every Sunday in March,2013. Time: 4pm and 7pm

‘’The Naming Ceremony’’ is the story of Tola, a mother who feels like she is losing her identity on the day of her baby’s Naming ceremony. It is a witty, comic and serious Play exploring Tola’s dealings with her baby, friend, mother, mother-in-law and her husband.

Book reading

The poet and sometime painter Deji Toye will moderate a conversation around Kaye Whiteman’s ‘LAGOS: A Cultural and Historical Companion’ at the Freedom Park (1 Hopspital Road, by Broad Street, Lagos) at 4pm on Thursday, March 7, 2013. The conversation is part of an arthouse forum, organized in honour of Whiteman, who flew into town to launch the book on Wednesday, March 6. The author himself also turns 77 around that date and so there’d be a small musical show at the Park’s food court after the conversation.

Stage play at Freedom park

The Crown Troupe of Africa presents a month long series of performances featuring Onions Make Us Cry- Zainabu Jallo’s mind bending treatise on domestic violence. Directed by Segun Adefila, Onions Make Us Cry will be staged every Sunday in March, starting from Sunday 3rd March 2013 from 6 – 8.30pm at Freedom Park, 1 Hospital Road, Broad Street, Lagos Island.

Tickets are available for sale at Freedom Park and at DADA stores, 1st Floor, 95 Bode Thomas Street, Surulere at N1, 500 only.

A night of Jazz music

Eko Hotel & Suites present Somi at the Sky Restuarant. It is a night for Jazz lovers. A 90 minutes of live music and five course meal at N25, 000 per person on March 15th 2013 at 6pm.
