President Tinubu commends Mbah’s vision, commissioned people-oriented projects in Enugu

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigerian President was in Enugu State recently where he commissioned a number projects executed by the current administration in the state.

He had good words for Governor Peter Mbah and the people of Enugu State.

He hailed the vision of the governor for introducing 21st century technology in the fight against insecurity and improve the education standard of the children in the state.

The President, who stated this while commissioning the Command-and-Control Centre, with the 21st century technology, AI and thermal equipment constructed by Enugu State government during his one-day working visit to Enugu, said he was relaxed and that his visit to Enugu was a home-coming.

“There is joy and I feel relaxed and at home; it is a home coming for me,” he said.

According to him, “This is a serious demonstration of what we can do together. What we can build together and this has reassured me the fact that more revenue going to subnational and local government is not a waste. It is to develop and when we have characters and committed leaders like Peter Ndubuisi Mbah who is taking Enugu on the path of 21st century development track, greater heights, building our tomorrow today,” hope is renewed.

He emphasized that he could not forget the site of the small children he met and 21st century school he commissioned the infrastructure, the multipurpose hall and “here we are commissioning the investment and security that will bring about rapid development as we see the gadgets with the first century technology.”

The President described the governor as a friend, that both of them can go places together building Nigeria and building the future.

“What we all know; you are a private sector person we must encourage more private sector people to come into politics. When you assure security, development and give values for their money they will be your friends,” he said.

Earlier, Peter Mbah, commended President Tinubu for making time out of his tight schedule to visit Enugu for the commissioning of those projects, saying it’s a sign of the love he has for the people of Enugu State.

“We cannot express enough gratitude for this honour. This is now the 4th location; we know how tight your schedules are. What’s more, at this time of the year, the competing demands of your time, but to demonstrate the love you have for the people of Enugu, you elected at this very critical time, the first activity of the year, to come to Enugu to honour us with your presence and to commission our projects we cannot thank you enough, Mister President.

“It is indeed, my honour and privilege to invite you once again to commission this command-and-control centre, a centre that is designed to help us respond and to fight crime, nip it in the bud with the 21st century technology, with all the AI and thermal equipment, Your Excellency, this building, as you will soon see inside, has given us the confidence and the condition that we can stay here and deal with the criminal gangs that are terrorising our people and so have reason to be able to attract investors and have them come here and invest,” Mbah said.
