…Honours Adeboye’s contributions to growth
The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Ogun State chapter, says it will promote sound moral teachings and address pressing social challenges affecting the church and society in the state.
“Our focus will be on deepening love, promoting practical Christian living and ensuring that the fellowship remains a beacon of hope in challenging times,” Kunle Abdul, state chairman, stated while unveiling his vision for the Fellowship.
The new chairman pledged to strengthen unity among members, and also outlined plans to improve the fellowship’s infrastructure, noting that further development of facilities would be carried out in phases to accommodate expanding programmes.
The ceremony attracted clerics, stakeholders and members across the state, with the PFN honouring Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in recognition of his contributions to the growth of the fellowship and the development of its secretariat.
The honour was conferred during a ceremony held at the Pastor E.A. Adeboye Legacy Hall, named after the cleric in acknowledgment of his pivotal role in the building of the PFN secretariat.
Sunday Akande, RCCG National Overseer, who received the award on behalf of Adeboye stated that the RCCG overseer remained committed to the unity and advancement of the Fellowship.
He commended the Ogun State PFN leadership for the recognition, describing it as well deserved.
David Otaru, the outgoing PFN chairman in Ogun State, described his eight-year tenure as impactful and successful, attributing the achievements recorded to divine grace and collective commitment.
“The past eight years have been marked by unity, growth and remarkable support from our fathers in faith. I am confident that the next administration will surpass these achievements,” he stated.
Otaru expressed confidence in the new administration, led by Kunle Abdul, stating that the fellowship was poised for greater progress under the new leadership.
The ceremony also featured the honouring of other individuals and ended with prayers for sustained unity, growth and spiritual advancement within the Fellowship.
