The London Organisation of Skills Development (LOSD) held its flagship global event series, which took place from April 30 to May 3 2026, bringing together a diverse mix of leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, and professionals for a multi-day programme focused on skills development, knowledge exchange, and recognition of excellence.

The event featured the LOSD Skills Live Show 2026 and the LOSD Excellence Awards 2026, alongside book and poster launches and a collaborative initiative involving an official world record attempt. Organisers stated that the programme was designed to create a platform for learning, networking, and showcasing global talent across multiple sectors.

The series opened on 30 April with a private preview of the LOSD Production House docu-series, Your Voice Your Story. The invitation-only event, which took place at a private members’ venue in London, brought together invited guests, cast members, and the production team to highlight narratives centred on personal experiences and social impact.

On May 1, Santander Work Café invited LOSD to collaborate and support the organisation’s activities. London Elite Magazine and London TV became media partners and hosted a media and branding session. The programme included recorded interviews, podcast features, and professional media engagements designed to enhance participants’ visibility within their respective fields.

The main event took place on 2 May, when the LOSD Skills Live Show and Excellence Awards convened participants for a day of discussions, presentations, and networking. The programme attracted a broad audience, including startups, small and medium-sized enterprises, students, and professionals seeking insights into leadership, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, emotional intelligence, and business development.

Speakers at the event included Prof. Parin Somani, Dwayne Nathan Jack, Ellen Mannaert, Amish Purohit, Prof. Matthew Siu Ting Yip, and Joyce Z. Wazirali, alongside a wider group of speakers and panel contributors. The discussions addressed a range of themes, including public speaking, developments in hospitality and real estate, education and innovation, transitions from corporate careers to entrepreneurship, mental health approaches, and the evolving startup ecosystem.

A key feature of the programme was the LOSD Excellence Awards 2026, which recognised individuals and organisations across business, education, health, media, social impact, and technology. The awards aimed to highlight contributions demonstrating innovation and measurable impact across sectors.

The event also attracted a number of public figures and institutional representatives, including Prince Ebrahim of Zambia, the Lord Mayor of Oxford Councillor Louise Upton, the Worshipful Mayor of Southwark Councillor Sunny Lambe, the Worshipful Mayor of Elstree and Borehamwood Councillor Tushar Kumar, the Worshipful Mayor of Harrow Councillor Anjana Patel, and Lord Rami Ranger.

In addition, the programme included the launch of several publications, including A Book of Happiness and Rising Queens: The Icons of 2026, as well as a poster presentation titled 26 Game Changers of the Year 2026. These releases highlighted stories of leadership, resilience, and achievement.

LOSD also confirmed a collaboration with Guinness World Records for an attempt to set a record related to authors signing their own books. The initiative involved participation from authors across different regions.

Organisers further noted that the event incorporated business exhibition opportunities, enabling participants to engage with emerging enterprises and innovative products while fostering collaboration across industries.

The LOSD Skills Live Show and Excellence Awards 2026 was presented as a convergence of professional development, recognition, and global engagement, reflecting continuing efforts to promote skills advancement and cross-sector collaboration in an increasingly interconnected world.
