I will place emphasis on elderly, youths, farmers, productive sector – Akande-Sadipe

Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, member representing Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has assured her constituents that she would continue to deliver effective and responsive representation to them.

Akande-Sadipe, who is the chairman, House Committee on Ethics and privileges, said that she would specifically focus more on the elderly, female constituents, youths, farmers, and other agricultural and productive sectors within the local government.

While giving account of her stewardship after one year as a lawmaker in the 10th Assembly, she said that she was on course to change the narrative of representation, adding that she has employed about 500 volunteer aides to support her constituency office.

Akande-Sadipe added that she has been able to give her people quality representation despite months of rigorous, tense and traumatic election litigations.

“In line with our commitment to enhancing community interaction as pledged during the 2023 election campaign, Tolu Akande-Sadipe has employed over 500 volunteer aides to support the constituency Office.

“These aides span various age groups with representation from both males and females. Selection criteria were further stratified by age groups. All employed individuals are card-carrying members of the APC in Oluyole. In addition, some liaison aides were selected from the various communities as well, which is expected to assist APC membership recruitment in a bid to grow party membership across the local government.

“Their primary responsibility is to ensure timely reporting of project requirements, health, school infrastructure, education, roads, electricity, empowerment initiatives, and more to Hon. Tolu and the constituency office administration team. Additionally, they will oversee project supervision, leveraging their residency within the communities across the Local Government Area. They will collaborate closely with grassroots community leaders to ensure equitable distribution of democratic dividends throughout the LG,” she said.

She added that as part of her constituency projects, she has facilitated the construction of two blocks of classrooms at St. Thomas Primary School, Aba-Olose, Ibadan.

Akande-Sadipe also hinted that her constituency projects brought transformers to Lanisa Olowola, Elewure Soka and Aba Ode Soka communities.

The lawmaker, who has empowered over 142 constituents, including secondary school students, with laptops, added that she places premium on the welfare of the elderly, female constituents, youths, farmers and the less privileged in Oluyole federal constituency.
