Wise Network Foundation has reiterated its commitment to equip youths and empower women with crucial life skills focusing on financial literacy and inclusion, entrepreneurship and leadership skills.
Executive Director of the Foundation, Adeyinka Akinyede-Ashaolu disclosed this while speaking during the official launch of financial literacy mentoring master class organised by her foundation.
Ashaolu described the launch of the financial literacy mentoring master class which held in Lagos as a new dawn in the financial literacy and entrepreneurship landscape and added that it would empower the youths and women in the society.
According to her, the launch provided relevant topics of interest to the 508 participants in attendance, including university graduates undergoing their mandatory National Youth Service.
Speaking also at the event, Acting Public Affairs Officer at the United States Consulate General in Lagos, Amanda Roach Brown emphasised the importance of skills for development as a cornerstone for innovation and a sustainable future.
On her part, Anita Dele-Dickson of Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Ltd, who spoke on financial planning and wealth building commended the organisers of the event, saying it would be of great benefits to the participants.
While, Anieze Osakwe of Bolanle Austeen-Peters Film Productions provided links to acquire movie scripting and directing training and opportunities
Meanwhile, Taiwo Adewole gave practical opportunities for turning Waste2Wealth through recycling and up cycling.
The youth and women empowerment Mentoring Master class wrapped up with enlightening panel discussions with transforming directions for building key competencies for personal leadership opportunities.
