…Contestants vie for ₦50m grand prize

Once again, aspiring young entrepreneurs and those looking for opportunities to expand their innovations can realise their dreams as Betano-The Next Titan, Nigeria’s premier entrepreneurial reality television show, returns for Season 11.

The highly anticipated new season is returning on the theme ‘Be The Relentless’ in partnership with Betano, as the title sponsor.

Speaking at a pre-season media brunch, which held at Marriott Ikeja Hotel recently, the organisers expressed their excitement over the partnership with Betano, a premium online sports betting and gaming brand, which marks a significant milestone in the programme’s journey of promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and youth empowerment, while reinforcing a shared commitment to creating opportunities for young Nigerians with bold business ideas and entrepreneurial ambition.

Like previous editions, Season 11 will air for 10 weeks on major television stations across Nigeria and will feature a N50 million grand prize for the winner and runners-up. With the support of Betano and other strategic sponsors and partners, this season promises to be the most competitive and most impactful.

Speaking ahead of the new season, Mide Akinlaja, executive producer of the show, expressed appreciation to Betano for believing in the vision of igniting the entrepreneurial spirit of young Nigerians.

According to him, Betano – The Next Titan is Nigeria’s foremost entrepreneurial reality show that brings together aspiring entrepreneurs across Nigeria by giving them a platform to compete for a grand prize and other prizes to start their dream business or to support the existing ones.

Apart from being a competition platform and the longest running and most consistent entrepreneurial reality show in Africa, Akinlaja noted that the objective of the show is to provoke the entrepreneurial spirit of Nigerians.

The show searches for young talents who have great ideas and with right attitude to demonstrate their entrepreneurial acumen, and showcasing them as models on TV thereby influencing the mindsets of millions of other young Nigerians to see entrepreneurship as a viable career option. Betano-The Next Titan weaves the intricate tapestry of the entrepreneurial journey vividly, portraying both its challenges and triumphs, bringing the raw, unfiltered experiences, learning, and entertainment directly to the viewers.

The 10-week captivating show is a platform for unearthing innovation, creativity, and unleashing the potential of young Nigerians. It features ambitious entrepreneurs competing through rigorous business challenges, strategic decision-making tasks, and real-world execution scenarios, and with top business leaders as Judges of the show.

Auditions for Season 11 will commence in August and will take place in Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt and Enugu, providing aspiring entrepreneurs across the country with the opportunity to compete for a place on Nigeria’s biggest entrepreneurial television platform.

Outstanding participants from the auditions will advance to an intensive three-day Top 50 Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, where they will undergo rigorous business training, leadership development and practical enterprise challenges.

At the conclusion of the Bootcamp, 20 exceptional finalists will be unveiled during a grand opening ceremony before moving into the Titan House for an exciting 10-week competition featuring business tasks, innovation challenges, mentorship sessions and weekly eliminations that will ultimately produce the Season 11 champion.

For more than a decade, the programme has served as a catalyst for entrepreneurship, inspiring young Nigerians to embrace innovation, business ownership and self-reliance. Through its unique blend of education, competition and entertainment, it has become the country’s leading TV platform for identifying and nurturing entrepreneurial talents.

At the event, most of the sponsors and supporters spoke on how the show and this year’s theme reflect on their visions and youth empowerment goals.

From Dapo Osuntoye, category manager, Cadbury, to Adebanji Ola, head, corporate communications and public relations, Arik Air, to Abidemi Alfred, head, communications, Veritasi Homes and Properties, Jude Oduh of GIGM, they all spoke volumes on how Betano-The Next Titan show enables them to reach out to their host communities, empower the youth and the society at large.

The show also witnessed other exciting activities including two fireside chats. The first featured previous winners and runners up, who spoke on the impacts of the show from their respective backgrounds. They include: Pearl Ubani, Season 10 winner; Stephanie, Season 10 runner up; Victor Emaye, Season 9 runner up and Rotimi Egbewunmi, Season 3.

But the second fireside chat, which centered on the need to build the next generation of Nigerian entrepreneurs, featured Ric Hassani, an entrepreneur and music star; Blessing Obasi, an entrepreneur and celebrity; Daniel Lamberti, senior business development advisor for Betano in Africa and Rotimi Egbewunmi, an entrepreneur.

However, the organisers have commended the sponsors and supporters, noting that their individual and collective investments in Season 11 demonstrate the growing role of responsible corporate partnerships in advancing youth development and economic inclusion in Nigeria.
