2027: Adamu submits Bauchi Governorship form, says Bauchi belongs to PDP

Ahead of the May 30th deadline for the submission of candidates list, Usman Adamu, a governorship aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, submitted his form of Saturday, vowing that he will be elected Governor in 2027.

Fielding questions from Journalists after submitting his forms at the Wadata Plaza headquarters of the PDP in Abuja, Usman expressed confidence, adding that ” Bauchi people are very wise and they can chose who they want for themselves”

According to him ” Power and authority belongs to God and only Him can decide the future with certainty. So I have no reliance on whoever you think. As far as I have that belief in God, I know God can do it.

“There is God that did for everyone and I will not be an exception. So I have this reliance. Once there is God, there is opportunity and it is going to be actualized.

“So there is no reliance on whosoever you think, because Bauchi people are very wise and they can choose what they want for themselves”

Speaking further on the politics of godfather, he stressed that the outgoing governor had defeated an incumbent Governor, insisting that the people of Bauchi should be allowed to decide their next Governor

“Even the former governor defeated an incumbent governor. So talk less of defeating a person that was imposed by the governor. I don’t think that will be a problem in Bauchi.

“You know there are various rumors because as of now, as it is, they don’t even know their party. We have one party as far as I am concerned in Bauchi.

“As I always say, there is one party in this Bauchi which is PDP. And for your information, PDP has its stronghold in Bauchi. And most of the people of Bauchi are PDP. And you cannot change them from that position. So I assure you, success will be ours under PDP.”

Adamu who expressed his confidence in the Wike led PDP, stated that the party had continued to remain strong in the state.

He also expressed confidence that the ongoing crisis will not have a negative impact on the party in the state, as the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, already gave its backing to the Abdurahman Mohamed led National Working Committee NWC

“Let me just please clear one more issue. There are several rumors that PDP is having problems, that they are caught in issues. What I always say as a layman, I am not a lawyer by profession, but what I believe is if you are contesting under a platform, what you just need as a layman, you just go to the INEC website.

“Who is the official leader of a party organized by INEC? And I believe everybody has checked. The party is being led by Honorable Abdurahman Mohamed Takushara. So what else do I need? Do I need any technicalities to win an election in Bauchi?

“So those splinter groups, and they said they want to start selling forms. You can sell your form. Even scammers are selling forms everywhere.

“But PDP is one, and we are strong. And believe me, after the primaries, we will be more united, and we will pose a very great threat to Bauchi’s state government.”

Adamu’s records shows that although he never held any previous political office, he had been involved in community service as well as grassroots mobilisation

Adamu has strong supports amongst the youths in Bauchi state which he hopes to effectively leverage upon to ride his way into government house in 2027
