Wizkid and Asake dominated the Nigerian music charts throughout March, according to data from TurnTable Charts. Their collaborative tracks Jogodo, Turbulence, and Alaye remained in the top 10 of the Official Top 100 Songs chart every week from March 1 through March 26.

The chart weeks begin counting from the previous Thursday, so the run started with the period ending March 5 and continued steadily.

In the week of March 20 to 26, for example, Jogodo sat at number 2, which was beaten only by ‘WORSHIP’ where Asake features international artist DJ Snake, which claimed the number 1 spot. Turbulence rose to number 4, and Alaye to number 10. That same week, Money Constant by DJ Maphorisa, DJ Tunez, Wizkid, and Mavo held position 8, adding another Wizkid feature to the top 10.

Their joint project, REAL, Vol. 1 – EP, has spent multiple weeks at number 1 on the Official Top 100 Albums chart, including an eighth consecutive week as of mid-March. The four-track EP brought fresh material that quickly took over key positions on the songs chart.

The album’s strong performance has also lifted Asake’s older releases. In one March week (March 13–19), Work of Art reached number 4, Mr Money With The Vibe landed at number 5, and Lungu Boy sat at number 8 on the albums chart. These titles, which had already enjoyed long runs on previous charts, returned to the top 10 alongside the new EP.

Asake’s digital footprint, in particular, has seen an explosive surge. Within the last 30 days, he amassed over 33 million views on YouTube, alongside an impressive gain of 50,000 new subscribers. Wizkid continues to match this momentum; his consistent presence at the top of the artist rankings last week underscores a global career with 20,000 new subscribers and 26 million views over the last 30 days.

Other tracks filled out the rest of the song’s top 10 during the month. Paparazzi by Shoday and FOLA, Don’t Love Me by Omah Lay, and My Healer by Seyi Vibez and Omah Lay appeared regularly in the upper ranks. Fola’s Catastrophe emerged as a resilient contender, holding firm at the number two spot for much of the month. Yet Wizkid and Asake entries consistently took up the biggest share of spots across the four weeks.

OdumoduBlvck showed upward mobility, climbing from eighth to seventh.
Malik and Davido both faced a tougher week, with Malik slipping to fifth and Davido dropping to the lower half of the top ten.

The pattern is straightforward. Three tracks from the duo stayed locked in the top 10 without dropping out. Their new EP held the album summit while pushing Asake’s catalog back into the top 10 at the same time. Wizkid added further credits through features like Money Constant, showing how one successful release can revive interest in an artist’s full body of work.

TurnTable Charts compile the rankings by combining streaming data from major platforms in Nigeria with radio and TV airplay. The numbers for March reflect steady listening and plays week after week. From the final days of February into late March, Wizkid and Asake maintained control over large parts of the top 10 on both the songs and albums lists. It is a solid run that highlights their continued influence in Nigerian music this year.
