Startup Kaduna hosted an end of year dinner on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Prestige Hotel, Barnawa, Kaduna for Kaduna’s brightest entrepreneurs. The theme was ‘2018 strategy and network building’. Speakers at the netorking dinner were Hauwa Liman, founder Afrikabaya and with Binta Bamalli, CEO Sure Start Initiative.
Speakers exchanged notes with attendees on what has worked for them and the cardinal principle that emerged was building quality networks with like-minded entrepreneurs and seeking collaboration with them rather than trying to out-compete them.
This is the second dinner hosted by Startup Kaduna, with its maiden edition November 2017. Attendants thoroughly enjoyed the event, with a new sound positivity for 2018. Several new collaborations were discussed among participants.
Interestingly, women make up a higher percentage of participants of the Start Up Kaduna networking events. Start Up Kaduna is positive that they will be able to continue the forum on a regular basis with several individuals and entrepreneurs from Kaduna, already signed up to attend the upcoming meet up on January 28.
Startup Kaduna has a podcast www.soundcloud.com/startupkaduna and is working on an online magazine that will be a source of business resources for the Kaduna community of entrepreneurs.
