MTV Base has announced Rexxie, ElteeSkhillz and Liya as the new talents for the second season of MTV Base Inside Life, themed ‘New Wave’.
Following the resounding success of its first season, the MTV Base Inside Life reality docu mini-series promises to take viewers on a journey behind the curtains of the lives of three noteworthy and talented personalities.

“MTV Base Inside Life delves beyond the glimmering surface of stardom. We aim to present an unfiltered look into the lives of these music personalities, ElteeSkhillz, Rexxie and Liya, highlighting their humanity and the people who play pivotal roles in their success as well as showcasing different roads, which music professionals take to become more relevant forces in the music industry.
“Beyond the glamour, we hope to offer an unfiltered, genuine portrayal of their lived experiences. MTV Base Inside Life will undoubtedly feature thought-provoking narratives that resonate and celebrate the shared dreams and ambitions within Nigerian celebrity culture and the music industry,” stated Busola Komolafe, senior channels manager at Paramount.
Speaking on being part of the MTV Base Inside Life family, Ezeh Chisom, popularly known as Rexxie, said, “When I received the invitation to be part of the new season of MTV Base Inside Life reality show, I smiled to myself. Being recognised by one of the biggest entertainment platforms in the world meant so much to me and I am super glad to be part of the family.”
Abdulsalam ‘Liya’ Suliyat, popularly known for her hit song Melo, stated, “Many people are unaware of the efforts and sacrifices artists make to stay relevant in the music industry. They often only see the finished product; however, I am excited that this show will provide an in-depth look into my musical career.”
On his part, Olowu Taiwo, known as ElteeSkhillz, remarked, “Being featured on Africa’s largest entertainment media platform goes beyond just an adventure; I see a world of possibilities unfolding from it. I am certain this show will open the viewers’ eyes to the daily struggles of being a creative.”
