Rema’s sophomore album, “HEIS,” has garnered millions of streams on Spotify since its release on July 11, 2024, according to data from Rema Stat on X as of July 20, 2024.
The standout track is ‘Benin Boys’ featuring Shallipopi, which amassed 11.2 million streams. This success can be partly attributed to its pre-release on June 20, 2024, making it Rema’s first musical offering of the year and giving it a head start in accumulating streams.
Following closely behind is ‘Hehehe’ with 5 million streams. This track also benefited from early exposure, released days before the album as one of its lead singles. Notably, ‘Hehehe’ achieved a peak daily stream count of 324,002, highlighting its popularity among listeners.
The album showcases a range of songs that have sparked diverse reactions from fans on social media. Tracks like ‘Yayo’, ‘Ozeba’, and ‘March Am’ have garnered praise and criticism, accumulating 3.7 million, 2.9 million, and 2.6 million streams, respectively.

Despite criticism, ‘Azaman’ secured 2.3 million streams. Even the title track, ‘HEIS,’ which received its share of negative feedback, achieved 2 million streams.
Beyond streaming success, ‘HEIS’ also performed well in sales, securing second place on the TurnTable Charts for album unit sales with over 4400 units sold in its first week.
This 11-song album represents Rema’s desire to push artistic boundaries and explore new musical territories. While the diverse reception of some tracks indicates a degree of experimentation, the overall streaming and sales figures suggest that ‘HEIS’ has resonated with a significant audience.
