Globacom, Nigeria’s indigenous telecommunications provider, and Cable News Network (CNN) will be treating selected guests to an evening of fun at a cocktail party in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of African Voices, CNN’s magazine programme which Globacom has exclusively supported since 2010.

Globacom said in a statement from its head office on Wednesday that it was proud of the partnership with CNN.

“The programme has done a steady spotlight of Africa’s finest change makers in business, arts, travel, entertainment, sports and technology. It is noteworthy that we share the same values of innovation, creativity and excellence in service delivery,” it said in the statement.

“African Voices platform has over the years fulfilled its objective of positively showcasing unique personalities making waves in all walks of life on the continent. It has also projected Globacom to CNN’s business and consumer audiences across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, reaching millions of online users globally via CNN.com,” it said.

The programme is renowned for its contributions to the positive paradigm shift in the world information order, especially as it affects the African continent and its peoples.

Scheduled for the Sky Lounge, Eko Hotel, Lagos, from 6.30pm on Thursday, the cocktail party is expected to be graced by high net worth individuals, media entrepreneurs and trend-setters who have received invitations to attend the event.
