Sanwo-Olu reverses self, says didn’t promise to end Apapa gridlock in 60 days

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Tuesday reversed himself on his pledge to resolve the Apapa gridlock, saying he never promised to end it within his first 60 days in office.

The Governor, who was fielding questions from State House Correspondents after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, denied making such claims, saying that “interestingly some media houses are actually counting down on me.”

The Governor had during an interactive session with his classmates at the Congratulatory Dinner Reception with Executive Master of Business Administration class, University of Lagos, 1998/2000 set, promised to “end the protracted gridlock in Apapa area of the state within the first 60 days of his administration.

He had declared that “not minding the politics involved” he would rid the area of all the trailers whose operations have been responsible for the intractable gridlock within 60 days in office.
