Rising insecurity on agenda as Buhari meets security chiefs

Amidst heightened security threats across states in Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over meeting with Service Chiefs and heads of the nation’s strategic security apparatus.

The meeting which is being held behind closed doors is used to review the state of security across the country, while the Service Chiefs brief the President on the current security situation in the country.

The meeting is being attended by Defence Minister Mansur Dan-Ali, minister of defence, and Babagana Monguno, national security adviser.

Others include Chief of Defence Staff, Gabriel Olonisakin, chief of army staff, Tukur Buratai, chief of Air Staff, Sadique Abubakar, chief of Naval Staff, Ibok-Ete Ekwe Iba and the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, amongst other top government officials.
