Number of  Coronavirus cases in Nigeria hits 51

Nigeria’s Coronavirus case hits 224 as NCDC confirms 10 new cases

Five new cases of Coronavirus (covid-19) have been confirmed by the National Centre of Disease Control(NCDC) on Wednesday night, putting the total number of those to have tested positive to the deadly virus in Nigeria to 51.

Of the five new cases, two are in FCT, two in Lagos and one in Rivers, NCDC said on its Twitter handle at 11.25pm.
Three are returning travellers into Nigeria while two are close contacts of a confirmed case.
Currently, Lagos has 32 cases, followed by the FCT with 10 cases. Ogun has three cases, while Ekiti, Oyo, Edo, Bauchi, Osun and Rivers all have one case. Two persons have been discharged out of the 51 confirmed cases. Only one death has been recorded, the NCDC said.
