Nigeria records largest daily increase of #COVID19: 663 cases added

663

Nigeria on Tuesday recorded the highest one-day increase in the number of coronavirus cases, with 663 infections added.

This raised the nation’s total cases to 13,464, with 4206 discharged and 365 deaths recorded, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.

Lagos led with 170 cases, followed by Ogun with 108, and 69 for Bauchi.

Other states with their figures were: Ebonyi-49, Edo-33, Rivers-30

FCT-26, Jigawa-26, Delta-20, Anambra-17, Gombe-16, Kano-16

Imo-15, Abia-14, Borno-11, Oyo-11, Plateau-8, Kebbi-6, Kaduna-6

Ondo-4, Niger-2, Katsina-2, Osun-1, Ekiti-1, Kwara-1, and Nasarawa-1.

NCDC announced three additional labs have been activated for inclusion in its Molecular Lab Network in Akwa Ibom, Jigawa and Oyo States, raising the number of such labs in the country to 33.

Globally, as of 12:35pm CEST, 9 June 2020, 7,039,918 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 404,396 deaths, had been reported to WHO.
