NERC approves cost-reflective tariff for electricity sector

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has raised electricity tariffs to make them reflect the cost of production ending years of agitation by power distribution companies to price electricity equitably.

NERC published on its website Wednesday August 21 a minor review of the 2015 Multi Year Tariff Order for each DisCo which will run from 2016- 2020 or until another review is carried out.
