The National Assembly will strive to pass the long-awaited Petroleum Industry Government Bill (PIGB) in 2020, Senate President, Ahmad Lawan assured on Monday.

He assured that in passing the bill, the lawmakers intend to adopt a different approach which he did not explain.

But he said that the bill would drive investments and create an environment of competitiveness and profitability.

He urged all stakeholders ahead of time, including the IOCs that the environment that the PIGB would create would work for everyone.

He is currently briefing the media on the activities of the 9th Senate since inauguration in June.
