Manchester United to sell five players to fund Jadon Sancho move

Manchester United are ready to sell five players in order to help fund their move for Borussia Dortmund superstar Jadon Sancho – according to reports.

Sancho is United’s priority transfer target for the upcoming window on the back of an exceptional season in the Bundesliga.

MEN Sport understands the winger has a preference to return to Manchester but is expected to command a transfer fee upwards of £100million – a figure that could be deemed unrealistic due to the financial repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Mirror suggest United will look to sell five players in order to fund their move for the England international with Alexis Sanchez, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Jesse Lingard and Andreas Pereira among those reportedly nearing an exit.

Sanchez and Smalling are both on loan to Serie A sides Inter Milan and Roma and are expected to complete permanent moves away from Old Trafford. Lingard, Jones and Pereira have struggled for game time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season.
