President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has just announced the leadership of 69 standing committees in the Senate.
While the immediate past Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu chairs the Senate Committee on Environment, Barau Jibrin chairs the Senate Committee on Appropriation, with Dino Melaye heads the Committee on Aviation.
Other standing committees and their chairmen are as follows:

Customs – Francis Alikhena
Defence – Aliyu Wamakko
Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions – Uba Sani
Gas – Albert Bassey
Agriculture – Abdullahi Adamu
FCT – Abubakar Kyari
Army – Ali Ndume
