President Muhammadu Buhari Friday met separately with the Chief of Defense Staff, Gabriel Olanishaki and the Chief of Naval Staff, Ibok-Ete Ibas at the Presidential Villa, Abuja
Unlike previous meetings, the President had first met with the CDS, Olanishaki before he met with the Chief of Naval Staff
Both of them left without briefing State House Correspondents on the outcome of the meeting.
The meetings came against the backdrop of calls on the President to change his security operatives to enable him inject fresh hands in tackling the nation’s intractable security challenges
As at the time of filing this report, details of the closed door meetings were unavailable.
Despite challenges insecurity across the country, security chiefs had declared recently that there was no need to adopt new strategies as the current one is achieving the desired results.
