The Federal Government has declared Monday, November 11, 2019, as a public holiday, in commemoration of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (Eidul-Mawlid).
The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, who made the declaration Thursday in Abuja, congratulated the Muslim faithful on the occasion.
He enjoined the Muslim faithful to imbibe the virtues of love, courage and perseverance, which formed the basis of the prophet’s teachings.
In a statement by the director, press and public relations, Mohammed Manga, the minister expressed confidence “that the challenges confronting Nigeria at the moment will soon be over”.
While calling on the citizens to remain focused, Aregbesola assured that, “With love, commitment, self-sacrifice, patience, and patriotism, we will certainly, build a greater Nigeria”.
