EDO DEPUTY GOVERNOR  RESIGNS FROM APC

Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, Tuesday also announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Shaibu’s resignation came few hours after the state governor, Godwin Obaseki resigned from the party.

The deputy governor, whose resignation letter dated June 15, 2020 was addressed to the ward 11, chairman of the party in Etsako West local government area.

He also copied the APC chairman in Etsako West local government, State chairman of the party in Benin City, zonal chairman, South-South and the National Chairman of the party, Abuja.

He said the resignation was pursuant to Article 9.5 (i) of the Constitution of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to him, I write in pursuant to Article 9.5 (i) of the Constitution of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to formally resign my membership of the All Progressives Congress and to inform you of my formal withdrawal from all or any of its proceedings and process whatsoever.

He said the resignation takes immediate effect.
