Covid-19: Nigeria’s cases cross 20,000, as 436 more added

Nigeria’s cases of the coronavirus on Sunday rose to 20,244, with the addition of 436 infections.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said the number of patients discharged rose to 6,879, while 518 deaths were recorded.

Of the new cases, Lagos State led with 169, followed by 52 from Oyo.

These were followed by Plateau-31, Imo-29, Kaduna-28, Ogun-23, FCT-18, Enugu-18, and Bauchi-17.

Others were Bayelsa-14, Rivers-8, Osun-6, Kano-6, Edo-5, Benue-5, Adamawa-3, Borno-2, Abia-1, and Ekiti-1.

On the global scene, as of 12:54pm CEST, 21 June 2020, there had been 8,708,008 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 461,715 deaths, reported to WHO.
