abba-kyari

Exactly 37 days after taking oath of office for his second tenure, President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, approved the re-appointment of Mr Boss Mustapha as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF)

The President has also reappointed his close friend, Abba Kyari as Chief of Staff (COS) to the President.

A statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said the President has also backdated the appointments to take effect from May 29, 2019.

The appointments is the second since the President took oath of office on the 29th of May, 2019, for his second tenure as the President on Nigeria.

The President had faced severe criticism over his very slow approach even as public policy experts has questioned the legality of actions taken so far by his personal aides whose appointments were hitherto not renewed.

Particular reference was made to Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha, who signed letters re-appointing Sunday Aghaeze and Bayo Omoboriowo as the President’s Personal Assistants in charge of Photography, even when he was yet to be appointed.

The appointments were the first approved by the President since his inauguration for the second tenure on the 29th of May, 2019.
