Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers Limited, CSL Stockbrokers Limited, Rencap Securities (Nigeria) Limited accounted for large chunk of N964.636billion or 67.70 percent worth of equities traded at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) in the eight months to August 2015.
Others firms that played big in terms of value of deals they transacted are: EFCP Limited, FBN Securities Limited, Chapel Hill Denham Securities Limited, Vetiva Capital Management Limited, African Alliance Stockbrokers Limited, Apel Asset Limited, and A.R.M Securities Limited.
The recent broker performance report at the Nigerian Stock Exchange shows that Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers Limited led the table with deals worth N201.279billion, which represents 14.13percent of the total value of deals on the local bourse in the review period.
CSL Stockbrokers Limited followed with deals valued at N173.618billion, representing 12.19 percent; while Rencap Securities (Nigeria) Limited came third with deals worth N165.092billion or 11.59 percent. Further check on the list at the NSE shows EFCP Limited in fourth position with equity deals valued at N120.878billion or 8.48 percent of the total value of deals on the Exchange.
FBN Securities Limited followed with equity deals valued at N67.349billion or 4.73 percent; Chapel Hill Denham Securities Limited accounted for deals worth N67.232billion or 4.72percent; while Vetiva Capital Management Limited accounted for N52.974billion, which represents 3.72 percent of the total value of deals on the Exchange in the review period of eight months.
In addition African Alliance Stockbrokers Limited accounted for equity deals valued at N41.433billion or 2.91 percent; Apel Asset Limited (N37.577billion or 2.64percent); while A.R.M Securities Limited made the top ten league after deals worth N37.199billion, representing 2.61 percent of the total value of deals at the NSE in eight months of this year.
