Temitope Iluyemi, Senior Director, Global Government Relations, Africa at Procter & Gamble

Temitope Iluyemi is the Senior Director, Global Government Relations, Africa at Procter & Gamble. Following a short career as a Pharmacist, she joined P&G Nigeria in 1998. In over her 20-years career with P&G, she has transcended through a breadth of roles spanning across commercial and corporate functions (Sales, Market Strategy and Planning, Supply Network Operations, External Relations and Government Relations).

Sequel to her assignment in Board of Directors for P&G Nigeria. She Chairs the Taskforce on Trade facilitation at the US Chamber of commerce, and she is also part of the Trade Commission of the NESG.

Iluyemi believes that whatever you find yourself doing, do it exceptionally well because there is no substitute for excellence. “Be genuine and treat others as you would like to be treated. Chart your own path, carve out your destiny, don’t be a by-stander on issues that affect you.” She states.

As the Associate Director, Global Government Relations -Sub Sahara Africa, she was responsible for the overall responsibility for setting and implementing the government relations strategy and operations in Sub Saharan Africa’s 52 countries, advocating with African and US Government to promoting trade relations.

As the Associate Director, Global Government Relations- Africa, she had overall responsibility for setting and implementing the Government relations strategy and operations in Africa’s numerous countries. She also advocated with the US Government on trade and US-Africa policy issues as well as other bilateral relationships that support the promotion of open and fair business policies.

As the External Relations Group Manager, she led managing government relations, regulatory & technical relations, brand public relations, corporate communications and reputation as well as consumer relations across 32 countries in Sub Sahara Africa.
