Morounke Olufemi is the Group Chief Financial Officer for Access Holdings Plc, the parent company for Access Bank Plc, Access Pensions Ltd, Hydrogen Payment Services Company Ltd, and other subsidiaries spread locally and internationally across Africa, Europe and Asia covering 22 countries.

As the Group CFO, Olufemi is forward-thinking, embracing innovative technologies and best practices to improve financial efficiency and drive sustainable growth. She is adept at adapting to the ever-changing business environment, navigating economic uncertainties, and identifying new opportunities for the company.

Morounke is a strategic expert with a strong financial acumen and deep understanding of the industry.

She is a result driven business leader with over 22 years track record of building and leading large cross functional teams across UK, India and West Africa. Her achievements demonstrate her ability to consistently deliver results across multiple geographies, challenging pre-conceived beliefs and acting as a trusted adviser at management and Board level.

At Access Holdings Plc, she leads the finance and strategy agenda for critical activities including capital raising, attracting and keeping strong retail and institutional investors, improving core operational performance across all the businesses and ensuring full delivery of the overall financial goals of the ecosystem.

During her tenure at Old Mutual West Africa, she extended her reach beyond building the finance teams across West Africa, delving into business development and operations management. She was part of the lead team which established the $500m real estate investment vehicle and the $200m agriculture investment vehicle with the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority in 2016, with the core objective of investing heavily in commercial, retail and hospitality assets as a vital means of driving economic growth across Africa given the rise in population growth, poverty and unemployment.

Morounke holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from City, University of London and an MBA in Finance from the University of Durham, UK. She attained Fellowship of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) in 2010. She is extremely passionate about leadership and has undertaken professional certifications in this field from the University of Oxford, UK as well as the renowned Centre for Creative Leadership in Switzerland.

Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Morounke dedicates a considerable amount of her time in building the next generation of leaders by paying it forward, acting as a mentor, providing guidance and support to many upcoming young professionals, and actively contributing to her field through participation in panels at conferences.
