Sogbon said that the choice of Ogun state became necessary considering its “Gateway to Industrialisation Status” and its strategic location which he said, borders Lagos, Osun, Oyo, Ondo and even Benin Republic, saying: “We are moving to Ogun state for expansion in the business of meat processing and agro-line factory because Lagos is getting choked.”.
Responding, Bimbo Ashiru Ogun State commissioner for commerce and industry, said that government is working assiduously to ensure adequate utilisation of value-chain advantage through clustering of companies with allied activities, adding that government is operating open-door policy that guarantees easy access for investors and industrialisation and would not allow undue advantage of investors willing to invest.
Ashiru disclosed that, having considered the influx of more people and investments into the State, government is putting up matching infrastructure and security, saying government is considering the establishment of more housing estates across the State, especially at the industrial cities.
