Great Nigeria Insurance plc recently constituted a new Board with with Tokunbo Talabi as chairman and Cecilia Osipitan, managing director.

Chairman

Tokunbo is a renowned and accomplished entrepreneur with several years in banking and later security printing. He is presently the President/CEO of Superflux International Limited; the foremost security printing firm in Nigeria, providing specialized secure print solutions to Sub-Saharan Africa.

Before making a foray into printing, Tokunbo was one of the pioneer staff of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc.

He serves on the board of several companies and committees and mentor in some distinguished entrepreneurial initiatives which includes The FATE Foundation and Entrepreneurial Development Centre (EDC) of the Lagos Business School, Nigeria. He graduated from the Obafemi Awolowo University with a B. Sc in Medical Rehabilitation and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Lagos. A widely travelled executive and an author who has a book ‘The Mind’s Game’ to his name. This is a book that details his entrepreneurial development and offers tips on how to  embark and succeed in the African challenging business environment.

Managing director

Osipitan is a seasoned underwriter, Marketer and an administrator with proven management capacities, vast academic background and profound experience. She is also a renowned and respected Insurance professional with over 25 years of cognate experience in Insurance. Osipitan graduated from the University of Ibadan with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Sciences and Physiotherapy with a Second Class Upper Division. She also holds a Master Degree in Public Administration from University of Lagos. She also has a Bachelor of Law Degree from the same University. Osipitan is an Associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London and Nigeria.

Osipitan started her career in Insurance with Royal Exchange Assurance of Nigeria (REAN) and rose to the position of an Executive Director on the Board of REAN. She became the Managing Director/CEO of Great Nigeria Insurance Plc in December 2009 after being the Managing Director/ CEO of two other Insurance firms: Unic and Insurance PHB.

She has attended several technical and Management courses both within and outside Nigeria.
