The Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (SOGON) is the umbrella body for all Gynaecologists and Obstetricians in Nigeria and part of its mandate is providing opportunities for continuous professional development for members.
Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and the resultant restriction in movement and large gatherings, the organization has resorted to organizing webinars for members to gain more knowledge and improve their practise. This has been achieved by partnering with relevant organizations and resource persons from Nigeria and other countries to deliver the best in class training and sessions, delivered online.
Partnering with pharmaceutical giant Sanofi Nigeria Ltd., which also happens to be one of the leading manufacturers of antenatal vaccines, is indeed a testament to the intent and commitment of both organizations on the development of medical doctors in Nigeria.
