Angel Okwuosa, daughter to Idu Okwuosa, the compliance officer, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited, recently launched a book, “Home Bound” talking about how one is literally bound for home.
Key author in the book, Ona Chukwuma shares her experience as her family relocates back to her motherland in Nigeria.
There is no place like home. Home is not necessarily where one has a nice house and job. Home is where one has his loved ones to connect despite its various issues because no home is perfect.
“Homebound” (published by Xlibris UK) written by Okwuosa, tells the story of Ona, a girl from Boston who relocates back to her motherland in Nigeria with her family where she learns a lot about her country of origin.
Told from a quirky young girl’s perspective, this book will make people in Diaspora to think back to when they were moving into a new place or going to a new job or school and the conflicting feelings of leaving behind old pals and meeting new people.
According to Okwuosa, people these days go up and down looking for a place to call home yet they do not know where they came from and how to adopt other people’s culture. “Homebound” will make them think back to the good old days of innocence.
Angel Okwuosa was born December 18 1996 at St. Mary’s Hospital, London, England. She is currently a Law student at the University of Birmingham. Her main goal is to inspire and change Nigeria, starting from within by the grace of God.
She has a blog (angelokwuosa.net) where she posts stories and poems and she has a Facebook page named Diary of a Misfit. She enjoys writing, singing, dancing, hanging out with family and friends and listening to music. “HomeBound” is her second published book. Her first book is “Diary of a Misfit.”
