NEC approves extension of budget support to states

The National Economic Council has approved the extention  of the budget support to states. The support ws scheduled to end this month.

A committee on set up by the NEC at its last meeting to investigate the dwindling Ecological Funds has recommended a payment of N2billion each to 19 states.

Disclosing that the Goodluck Jonathan administration paid out the said amount to states governed by Peoples Democratic Party, Kaduna state governor, Nasiru El-Rufai said this will first put all the states on the same page.
