FEC cancels it’s meeting

FEC-meeting

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting which was already scheduled to hold Wednesday was shelved at the last minute.

Though no reason was given for the cancellation of the meeting, it was gathered that it may not be unconnected to the fact that President Muhammadu Buhari only returned from his official trip to Abu Dhabi, late Tuesday.

President Buhari on Sunday embarked on a three-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he attended the World Future Energy Summit and reengaged Nigeria with the Middle East-Region. The President had while in Abu Dhabi also signed agreements that will assist Nigeria recover funds laundered to that country.

Officials at the Presidency however said there is no written rule that the meeting would hold every Wednesday or every week as was the case in previous administration.

The cabinet meeting has held for the past two Wednesdays.
