CreditPRO emerges best SME Lender of the Year

CreditPRO Business Support Services Limited, a leading money lender business which focuses on providing flexible working capital finances to SMEs businesses, has won two industry awards.

The SME focused money lender was recognized by Delta Business School, an accredited business school based in Warri, Delta State and Institute of Credit Administration, the foremost professional credit body in Nigeria.

Delta Business School recognized CreditPRO with the award of Africa’s Best in SME Lending of the year – 2020 recently.

Barrister O.C Akpotohwo, chairman of the award committee and executive director at the School, remarked that CreditPRO was recognized for this award because of its unwavering commitment to supporting SME businesses in Nigeria though flexible working capital loans.

Similarly, the Institute of Credit Administration recognized the Sola Adeyiga, CEO of CreditPRO with the award of Credit Business Integrity of the year 2020.

This year’s event, themed Nigeria Credit Industry Award 2020, was conducted virtually due to COVID-19 pandemic.

In his remark, the registrar of the institute, Chris Onalo congratulated and felicitated with the recipients of the awards,stating that they have worked hard during the year to merit the prestigious awards.

In his remark, Sola Adeyiga, CEO of CreditPRO said the awards which came barely 15 months after the business was formed, are a testament to the value the company is creating in the SME space in Nigeria.

Adeyiga believes that the SME sector is integral in every economy and as such it must be supported to thrive.

He urged the government address the fundamental issues bedeviling MSMEs businesses in the country such as inadequate access to finance, infrastructure gaps and foreign exchange volatility among others to drive growth and development.

On his outlook for 2021 Adeyiga said the company is repositioning for greater feats in the coming year.

“Given our scaling drive, we are focusing on improving on our corporate governance structure,” he said.

“We will also be going more digital with the introduction of some fintech solutions which we expect to further enhance our value proposition to our target customers who are predominantly the SMEs,” he said.

Also, the Institute of Credit Administration awarded top credit professionals in Nigeria with different categories of awards such as Credit Business Integrity, Credit Management Director, Credit Professional, Credit Manager and Outstanding Credit Bureau Director of the year 2020.
