Buhari to launch campaign for oil drilling in Gombe State
The president Muhammadu Buhari will today launch the campaigns for oil drilling in Gongola Basin around Gombe State.
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is planning to drill four wells in the Basin.
It has decided to withhold the activity until today in order to give a boost to President Muhammadu Buhari campaign for second term in office .
It is believed that people of the North would further be galvanised to support the ambition of the President when they hear that he has given approval for oil drilling in the North.
However the prospect and viability of the exercise Is what some oil and gas observers said is in doubt.
