Oando PLC, Nigeria’s leading energy solutions provider, will play a key role in investment discussions at the upcoming Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES) 2025 as a Silver Sponsor.

The summit, themed “Bridging Continents: Connecting Investors Worldwide with Africa’s Energy Potential,” will be held from February 24 to 27, 2025, at the Presidential Banquet Hall, Aso Villa, and Abuja Continental Hotel, Abuja.

It is expected to attract over 5,000 participants from 45 countries, providing a platform for energy leaders to explore investment opportunities in Africa’s energy sector.

Wale Tinubu, Oando’s group chief executive officer, will be a panelist in a high-level discussion on “Transformative Deals and Nigeria’s Upstream Future.”

The panel will feature top industry executives, including Gbenga Komolafe, chief executive officer of Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, Roger Brown, chief executive officer of Seplat Energy, and Mele Kyari, Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited.

Tinubu is expected to share insights on strategic deals shaping Nigeria’s upstream sector, particularly Oando’s acquisition of Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) from Eni in August 2024 and its recent award of Block KON 13 in Angola’s Onshore Kwanza Basin.

Oando’s participation extends beyond upstream investments.

Ainojie Irune, managing director of Oando Energy Resources Nigeria Limited, will join a panel on “Structuring Global Investments: De-risking Energy Projects in Africa.”

The discussion will focus on strategies to mitigate risks and attract global capital to Africa’s energy sector.

Additionally, Hadiza Adukonu, vice president of Opportunity Maturation and New Ventures at Oando Clean Energy (OCEL), will speak on “Energy Efficiency, a Step to Sustainable Development in the African Energy Sector.”

Her session will explore strategies for enhancing energy efficiency and sustainable development.

NIES 2025 will feature 12 plenary sessions, 20 high-level presentations, and six technical workshops, bringing together policymakers, investors, and industry leaders to shape the future of Africa’s energy sector.
