Here are firms powering Nigeria with renewable energy solutions

Here are firms powering Nigeria with renewable energy solutions

Electricity remains a scarce resource in Nigeria, a nation of over 220 million people grappling with an inadequate supply of just over 5,000 megawatts. This leaves over 80 million Nigerians without reliable access to power.

In recent years, renewable energy solutions, particularly solar power and solar mini-grids have emerged as transformative and cost-effective alternatives. These systems are especially crucial for rural areas disconnected from the national grid.

However, despite their promise, millions of Nigerians still lack access to renewable energy solutions due to funding, policy, and logistical challenges.
