The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registration for the 2025/2026 academic session officially commenced on Monday, February 3, and prospective candidates are required to follow lay-down procedures to avoid invalid registration exercises.

JAMB registration is an essential process every candidate looking to gain admission into Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education must observe.

Hence, JAMB encourages all prospective candidates to prepare in advance, complete all the necessary steps, and pay the required fees to ensure they are ready for the examination.

Here are the necessary steps to register for JAMB 2025/2025

Candidates are required to proceed to do the following to register successfully for JAMB after getting their National Identification Number (NIN) from a NIMC centre:

  • Go to the official JAMB portal at www.jamb.gov.ng and create your profile using your NIN, a valid email address, and phone number.
  • After registration, verify your profile using the confirmation code sent to you via SMS and email.
  • Get an ePIN from any authorized outlets like Zenith, Access, or FirstBank, online platforms, or through USSD codes. The ePIN costs N3,500 and is valid for one-time registration.
  • Take your ePIN, NIN, O’level results, passport photograph, and any other required documents to a JAMB-approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre.
  • Fill out the registration form; choose your examination date and centre, and complete biometric verification.
  • Take a printout of your registration slip which includes your personal details, exam schedule, and centre. You will also be given a CD with the JAMB syllabus and e-brochure to guide your study.

Where to buy JAMB ePIN for 2025/2026

JAMB e-PINs can be purchased from several authorized outlets, like:

  • Zenith Bank, FirstBank, Access Bank, Polaris, and others.
  • NIPOST (Post Offices) branches nationwide.
  • Online Payment Platforms like Paga, Remita, and Interswitch.
  • USSD codes like *737#, *770#, or *5656#.

Important tips

It is important to take note of the following registration dates and deadlines:

  • Registration Period from January 31, 2025, to February 26, 2025.
  • UTME Exam Date will be held from April 18 to April 28, 2025.
  • Direct Entry (DE) Registration will also begin on January 31, 2025, and end on February 26, 2025.
  • The JAMB registration fee is approximately N5,200 (which consists of the ePIN N3,500, Registration Fee of N700, and Exam fee of N1,500) and N6,700 if you choose to take the Mock-UTME.
  • Make sure to purchase your ePIN from reliable, authorised sources to avoid fraud.
  • Use the JAMB syllabus and past questions to prepare. You can also use JAMB’s CBT practice app or online platforms to familiarise yourself with the examination format.
  • Reprint your examination slip from the JAMB portal after seven days to get your examination date, time, and venue.
  • Arrive at the examination centre at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time. Bring your examination slip, NIN slip, writing materials, and a face mask.
  • Avoid bringing any electronic devices or prohibited items.
  • After the examination, you can check your results on the JAMB portal or via SMS by sending “RESULT” to 55019 using the phone number you registered with.
  • It costs N50 to access your result.
