‘SchoolMe’ Lottery – a licensed educational lottery service provider – has pledged commitment towards improving opportunities for out-of-school children in Nigeria, by making funding creatively available to sponsor young Nigerians who are not privileged to acquire quality education.
They made the commitment in a statement issued by Freda Okhiria, its public relations officer, affirming that as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, it would continue supporting Federal Government’s efforts in addressing concerns of out of school children.
Freda, in the statement, said the foundation had been contributing their quota towards improving education infrastructure in the country through renovation of schools, construction of classroom for various institutions around the nation.

Education analysts have reiterated that education is the bedrock of development of any society, as it is regarded as a fundamental human right in most parts of the world.
Also, industry stakeholders have raised concern on the level and standard of education in Nigeria , which they said has witnessed a geometric drop in the past two decades, while fuelling increase. In migration of young African’s in search of quality education outside the country.
The group identified challenges of education in Nigeria include to include poor funding, unavailability of qualified teachers, failure to accommodate the rising population demand, low university admission capacity, academic fraud, lack or poor infrastructure, while pledging to address the concerns through creatively raising fund to mitigate high cost of education.
The School Me lottery, it would be noted, is a licensed educational lottery service provider with the objective to promote education by mitigating the financial constraints posed by high cost of education in the country, while equally enhancing welfare of the citizenry in general.
The group also provides students and prospective students of tertiary institutions of learning the opportunity to win scholarship or cash for educational needs including coursework project funding.
