The federal government of Nigeria has announced that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) would open its orientation camp on November 10, 2020.
The Resumption of the NYSC Orientation Camp for prospective Youth Corp members has been approved and opens on November 10th 2020. Full COVID-19 Protocols will be enforced,” tweeted Sunday Dare, Minister of Sports and Youth Development on Thursday.

The reopening comes after seven months of closure since March 2020.
With the reopening, thousands of young graduates and prospective corps members already delayed by the lockdown will now have the opportunity to complete their one-year compulsory national service in preparation for the job market.
