Ikeja Metro Lions President urged to commit to humanitarian service

Lion Ademola Adesoye, District Governor 404B2 Nigeria, installs Lion Evelyn Agbonifo-fashakin as 19th club president of Ikeja Metro Lions club.
The District Governor, District 404B2 Nigeria, International Association of Lions Clubs, Lion Ademola Adesoye, has called on the new President of the Ikeja Metro Lions Club, Lion Evelyn AgbonifoFashakin, to commit to humanitarian service in order to positively impact the lives of the people. Speaking at the public presentation of the 19th President of the Ikeja Metro Lions Club in Lagos, the District Governor urged the president and members of the club to reach out and touch lives because kindness matters.

Lion Ademola Adesoye who was referring members to District’s theme of the year, “Reach Out, Touch Lives – Kindness Matters,” said “I will particularly urge you and all the wonderful members of your club to reach out to people in the society, touch lives and show a lot of kindness, meekness and love.

“You are expected to key into all District projects especially the building of the diabetes screening, treatment and the construction of a befitting eye centre recently approved by the district leadership.

“This exalted office mainly imposes more responsibilities on you in accomplishing the task of lions clubs international membership growth as well as improvement in the area of membership retention and drive. You are expected to focus on core service areas: vision, diabetes, paediatric, cancer, hunger and environment.

“To those much is given, much is also expected, you are expected to also focus on LCIF campaign 100 and encourage your members to contribute for their MJF/ PMJF and our NLCF,” the District Governor said.
