Evimero, an edtech startup that provides tech education to learners of all backgrounds has reinstated its commitment to making tech training accessible to all Nigerian citizens irrespective of their income.
Micheal Agboola, the chief operations officer at Evimero, made this known during the launch of the firm on Monday, October 30, 2023, with a conference themed “Thrive Beyond Limitations.”
“We are excited to launch Evimero and help learners achieve their dreams of a career in tech as he unveiled the first cohort starting in December.
We believe that tech has the power to transform lives, and we are committed to making tech education accessible to everyone,” he said.
Daniel Afolayan, chief executive officer at Evimero, spoke about the importance of starting a tech career and emphasised that the company will give learners a chance to achieve their dreams with instructor-led live classrooms, mentorship clinics with top industry giants, and internship placement.
“We believe that everyone has the potential to thrive in tech, regardless of their background or experience,” said Afolayan. “Evimero is here to provide the resources and support that learners need to succeed,” he added.
Evimero’s curriculum is designed to teach learners the skills they need to land a job in tech, including programming, product marketing and communication, and product design.
The academy also offers a variety of extracurricular activities, such as hackathons and workshops, to help learners build their portfolios and network with other tech professionals.

Fola Olatunji-David, a business adviser and strategy consultant for Africa-focused startups, has led two of Africa’s most successful accelerator programmes – Ventures Platform and Google for Startups Africa.
He is currently a key leader of the 3MTT programme by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovations and Digital Economy, emphasised the need to train technical talents in Nigeria and Africa, and appreciated Evimero’s work in this regard.
He also reiterated the need to partner with government and private programmes such as 3MTT.
The conference which was attended by over 100 people, featured tech ecosystem leaders such as Fola Olatunji-David, Victor Ekwealor, Princewill Akuma, and Esther Ahaiwe.
Others are Simi Oluwatomi, Emmanuel Mesole, Emmanuel Edokpa and Bayo Chike Odurinde.
