Blockchain Saturday is proud to announce the 7th edition of  its blockchain meetup events series tagged The Lagos Blockchain Conference .

This one-day event will bring together tech enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, startup CEOs and community representatives of some of the biggest crypto startups across Africa and beyond. These experts  will discuss issues and ideas that are pertinent to, and contributes towards the growth of the tech industry in Lagos, Nigeria.

Event Details

Miranda Tan

CEO and Founder, Robin8 Inc

Tan has over 10 years of experience in PR and marketing. Prior to MyPRGenie, Tan was the president of Excite Media Group, where she specialized in PR and marketing for start-ups and fast-growth companies including McKinsey & Company, National Imaging Associates (acquired by Wellpoint), MindTree Consulting, Cognizant Technology Solutions, NYU, Opinion Research Corp and Peoplesoft (acquired by Oracle). Prior to Excite Media Group, Tan founded ExcitePR, a $2 MM hi-tech PR agency. Tan merged ExcitePR with a $15M PR and marketing firm in Silicon Valley. Tan has a BS from Cornell University and a JD from St. John’s University School of Law. She is admitted under the New York Bar.

Oliver Birch

VP Communication, Wanchain

Oliver Birch graduated from Lancaster University with a BA (Hons) Philosophy, Politics and Economics. He is passionate about innovation and planning, creating and managing large projects within Clinical Trials. Oliver first got into the crypto space in 2011, researching and writing academic papers at university about the rise of bitcoin. Oliver worked as a Senior Project Manager for MeDiNova Research Spain (with an established parent company in London, UK). Currently, he’s the VP of Global Communications and Growth at Wanchain.

Tarmo is among the Obyte team, a core developer who manages the affairs of Obyte but communications and technological aspects of the innovative project.

Lucky Nwanekwu

Lucky Nwanekwu is the Community Lead of Business Day Nigeria, The top daily business newspaper based in Lagos, Nigeria. He has vast experience in Digital Media Marketing, Strategy, Digital Asset, Technology and Finance. A graduate from Abia State University with work experience in Vanguard Media, Gamint Tech Corp and other top firms in Nigeria. He started his Crypto Journey in 2017. Trading, building content around Blockchain and Digital Assets and working with Blockchain Startups.

 Blockchain Saturday is committed to the  success and mainstream adoption of Blockchain technology, and one of the many ways it  contributes to this goal is by hosting major tech outreaches, meetups, boot camps, workshops, and periodic conferences in several institutions and cities across Nigeria, where renowned experts, industry leaders, technocrats and enthusiasts within the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem come together in synergy to share ideas, learn, and build valuable networks in the crypto-space.

The Lagos Blockchain Conference is the 3rd event hosted by Blockchain Saturday in 2019. And the 7th in the existence of the project.
