A patient in Enugu who was suspected to have contracted COVID19 has tested negative to the virus, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has said.
“It is important to wait for confirmation from NCDC before spreading information on social media,” the centre twitted.
NCDC will continue to provide updates to the public, it said.
Nigeria has recorded two cases of Coronavirus, both being the Italian national who imported it the country and a person who had close contact with him. Nigerian health authorities have declared the contact negative, while the Italian is said to be close to full recovery.
